In a world where bigger is sometimes better, it is no surprise that oversized bags are making a huge comeback this season.
As a designer of Dress Your Color, I can assure you that the oversized bag trend is here to stay, and I couldn’t be more happier about it!😄
Oversized bags are not just an accessory — they are my passion.
For as long as I can remember, the oversized tote bag has always been (and still is!) one of my favorite big bag trend that I have had the opportunity of designing!
Check out a few of my designs of this oversized bag trend.
From my experience in the fashion industry, the big bag trend has always been around and is the perfect blend of timeless style and practical functionality.
Oversized bags also give designers (like myself) enough canvas space to show off our stunning fabrics and intricate design patterns.

Bag Trends 2024
The spring season has officially arrived and it’s time to pick out your favorite bag from the bag trends 2024 season.
Only problem is, you can’t decide which bag to go with!
Bag trends 2024 was definitely a season of extremes on the runway.
From the juxtaposition of micro bags created by Fendi, Givenchy, Gucci and Versace to the oversized bags created by Ferragamo, Victoria Beckham, The Row, Coach, and Prada, they all took the 2024 fashion runway by storm.
But what exactly is THE HOTTEST bag trend from the Fall 2024 fashion shows?
It's all about actually wearing and USING your bag!
Nobody's into just stashing it away in the closet like some trophy anymore. Nah, the best bags are the ones that vibe with your daily grind.
The bag is supposed to reflect your life and be your trusted sidekick as you go about your day.
And it's gotta look real.
I'm talking about rocking a tote packed with shoes and a spare outfit, Miu Miu style, or decking it out with charms that scream your vibe, like Coach.
You can also go for that worn-in leather look like the Olsen twins do with their Birkins or Balenciaga City bags.
Anyway - the bag is not supposed to be treated like an expensive relic but a practical AND fashionable tool.
Now that we've got the spirit of 2024 bag fashion out of the way, let's look at some detailed trend examples:
1. Get Fresh with Split-Pea Green:
There is a new go-to accent color in town!
Prada and Miu Miu have been dropping bags in this quirky pea green shade for a minute now.
It might not be the first color you think of for a designer carryall, but trust, it's just as energizing as a pop of red.
If anything, it adds a bit of necessary wackiness, keeping every look fresh in the best way.
2. Back to Basics: The Revival of the Bucket Bag
With big bags taking over, those micro bags are feeling like a blast from the past. But yo, the bucket bag?
It's making a comeback, and it's all about that compact size.
Ulla Johnson's got models rocking suede bucket bags on two fingers like it's no big deal.
At Gucci, they're vibing with a vintage makeup bag style.
3. Hold it tight under your arm:
Whatever the bag style, it's all about how you hold it.
And the current hot style is... under your arm.
Whether it's an oversized clutch, carpet bag, or any other carry-all, models from Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta, and Burberry were sporting them tucked tightly under their arms.
Mmm... I am not convinced about that trend - I want my hands free when I am out and about. And what do you think?
4. Feel it! - Textured Bags:
Over at Simone Rocha's, models are strutting with what looks like fluffy stuffed animals, complete with beady red eyes.
And while accessories shaped like creepy toys might not be everyone's jam, fuzzy textures are where it's at.
Prada's rocking bright feathers, Loewe's got intricate beading.
It looks like everyone is after a bag not just to carry but one to touch, too.
